Biography

Dr Ricardo Polanco was born in Chicago Illinois, raised in Venezuela, studied dentistry for five years in Universidad Central de Venezuela where he received his Dentist degree in 2002. He worked as a general dentist in private practice in his two offices located in Caracas and Margarita island until 2015 when he moved to Miami with his family and after completing all the national examinations he was admitted to do the postgraduate program at Miller School of Medicine University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2016 to 2018 receiving the General Practice Residency degree, then after taking all the state boards was finally recognized and licenced in the state of Florida as a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS). At the end of the program he was recognized with the professor’s cup and clinical awards.
He has been trained in fixed prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry for several years.
Since 2012 has been trained with Bicon dental short implants which is located in Boston Massachusetts. During all these years he received all training related with surgical implants placement, implant’s restoration, advanced bone graft techniques and management of complex cases including edentulous patients or when bone tissue is limited (more info in “short implants” section)
As a general dentist he will be able to provide an integral diagnostic and the appropriate treatment plan based on the needs of each patient.
